Wildstrubel by UTMB® allows runners to discover new regions, landscapes and culture Connecting the Swiss cantons of Valais and Bern, Wildstrubel by UTMB® will take runners on a magnificent journey through the northern Alps of Switzerland. Perfectly manicured mountain pastures, breathtaking views of the Valaisrsquo; 4,000m peaks, the striking landscapes of the Bernese Oberland mountain range, and the high mountains of the Wildstrubel massif await. The queen race will be a 113 km long course with 6,600m+ of positive altitude difference. One thing is sure, this loop is worth the detour! Wildstrubel by UTMB® will also offer a 70 km race from Kandersteg, a 53 km race from Adelboden, as well as a 25 km race from Leukerbad. A new race makes its debut during these 4 days of events: the Wild 10, a short format (10km and 500m D+) dedicated to all and especially the youngest, as it is free for those under 16. And on Friday, 2 races dedicated to young trailers so everyone can be part of the party and experience the trail running adventure! Wild 110 / 100M The pinnacle 113 km course and 6,600m D+ for a unique adventure around the Wildstrubel massif. Departure from Crans-Montana for a first part in the heart of the Swiss Valais, between perfectly maintained pastures and tender alpine meadows, where local products will be in the spotlight to refuel you! Then, you will cross into the canton of Berne via the mythical Gemmi pass (2,268m), which you will remember for a long time. The canton of Bern will surprise you between Adelboden, Kandersteg or the Lenk, and finally the famous Wildstrubel hut, the highest point of the race at 2,800m. The end of the route will bring you back to the Valais side, once you have crossed the Rawyl pass (2'427m), to enjoy the emerald colours of the Tseuzier lake and an exceptional last section along the Ro bisse. The variety of landscapesencountered is the strong point of the route. One thing is certain, this loop is worth the diversions! Date: 13 Septembre 2024 Distance: 113 km Elevation gain: 6,600M+ Race category: 100M Start location: Crans-Montana, Canton of Valais, Switzerland Running Stones: 4 Wild 70 / 100K Kandersteg welcomes you to start this new adventure, starting with a first ascent to the Bunderschrinde, one of the region's wildest and most authentic peaks, will get you up and running while offering you a dazzling landscape to start your quest. You will then head to Adelboden and its famous Chuenisbärgli World Cup ski run, to follow in the footsteps of the champions. A final pass, Hahnenmoospass, to cross before descending to the charming village of Lenk and heading towards Iffigenalp, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region. The Rawil pass, a few kilometres further on, will allow you to return to the Valais side and you will then reach the sublime Tseuzier lake and its dam before crossing the footbridge which will lead you to the Ro bisse, the last breathtaking corridor leading to Crans-Montana and its well-deserved finish line! Date: 13 Septembre 2024 Distance: 70 km Elevation gain: 4,600M+ Race category: 100K Start location: Kandersteg, Canton of Bern, Switzerland Running Stones: 3 Wild 50 / 50K Take the start in Adelboden at the heart of the Bern canton to get to Crans-Montana in the Valais canton. On the first leg of the journey, the runners will take the famous Via Alpina through the well-tended alpine pastures of the Bernese Oberland to reach the village of Lenk. This is followed by a magnificent but demanding 1400m+ climb, with passages on the side of the cliffs to reach the Rawil Pass (2,427m). The last section in a downhill profile takes you along thesublime lake of Tzeuzier to reach the vertiginous and no less splendid Bisse du Ro. A change of scenery guaranteed! Date: 14 September 2024 Distance: 53 km Elevation gain: 3,300M+ Race category: 50K Start location: Adelboden, Canton of Bern, Switzerland Running Stones: 2 Wild 25 / 20K On this short and ultra-energetic format, the runners will have a condensed version of the Valais atmosphere: bucolic passages through the alpine pastures, exhilarating forest trails, breathtaking views of the 4000 of the Valais, historical paths along the Bissehellip; Indeed, the small race of the weekend has all the makings of a big one! Date: 15 September 2024 Distance: 25 km Elevation gain: 1,200M+ Race category: 20K Start location: Leukerbad, Canton of Valais, Switzerland Running Stones: 1 Wild 10 / 10K Departure from the hamlet of Aminona located near Crans-Montana. After a short ascent on a paved road to stretch the peloton, you will take an easy trail leading you to the cellar of Scex, famous for its alpine cheeses. From there, you will embark on the bucolic Tsittoret bisse, built in the 15th century. You will follow the bisse along an easy and undulating trail for 5 km, with a liquid refreshment point in the middle at the hamlet of Colombire, known for its alpine museum. Then, you will arrive at the gates of Crans-Montana via Marolires and Vermala. Take a look to your right at the iconic finish line of the alpine skiing World Cup downhill. You're almost there, just 2 km more on a rolling and descending profile to reach Crans-Montana, with one last short climb to Arnouva. For the final stretch, you will go around Lake Grenon and pass by Ycoor pond. Then, the finish line in the heart of Crans-Montana. Guaranteed atmosphere. A beautiful course to havefun! Date: 14 September 2024 Distance: 10 km Elevation gain: 500M+ Start location: Aminona Wild Kids Two races will take place on Friday, 15th September, and 3 tracks will be possible, according to their age category. These races are only for kids born between 2012 and 2019, and no parents are allowed on the race. Every participant will have the possibility to enjoy the pasta party offered after their run! Date: Friday 13 September 2024 Distance: 900m and 1,7km Wild Handi-Sport A race dedicated to people with disabilities, with or without wheelchairs, so they can discover the pleasures of running and enjoy the party!
