Salgesch

As the largest wine-growing community in Upper Valais, Salgesch is located directly on the German-French language border with Central Valais. With over 200 hectares of vineyards, more than 40 cellars and its own wine museum, Salgesch can rightly call itself the wine village. Its Grands Crus have been a household name for gourmets for decades, and the latter are not the only ones who get their money's worth in the village. Bikers and hikers also have varied terrain to discover, especially since the Pfyn Finges Nature Park with the largest contiguous pine forest in the Alps is part of it. Discover also the first AR monument in Europe in honor of Gottfried-Zumoffen.
